The most important thing I can tell you about myself is that I
absolutely LOVE children! I have also put my heart and soul into
being a wife (over 19 years), a mother (over 13 years), and a coach
(over 3 years). I have always wanted to make a difference in
children’s lives. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education,
because I thought that I could make a difference by being a teacher.
I was wrong. After I had my first child, I decided that she was the
most important thing to me and I choose to stay home with her and
make a difference in her life. My parenting journey began in 1995
and for those first few years I was a bit lost, lost between two
worlds: the world of the experts and the world of my own experience
and my heart. As I grew as a parent, I grew as a person. I learned
to find my own voice and to listen to my heart.
I realized that my passion for helping children would best be
accomplished by helping their parents. I had knowledge that I had
accumulated over the years that I wanted to share with everyone. I
wanted to help parents become their best selves through a deep
understanding of whom and why they are who they are as people, first
and as parents, second. I realized I had all the knowledge I needed
to achieve this goal, yet I wanted to be sure that I had the skills
to articulate it well. I decided to go through a coach training and
certification process. Through the process of getting my coaching
credentials, I learned more about myself and more about helping
others through active listening, reflection, and asking inspired
questions to help clients find their own answers that are already
right there inside of them.
You might ask yourself, if the answers are inside of me than why do
I need you to coach me? Well, I have found that having a partner,
who is truly unattached to outcome and has no agenda except yours,
can really propel you ahead quickly. Often when we look in a mirror
we tell ourselves things that aren’t true. By working with me, I am
able to reflect back to you choices that you can make to improve
your family that you might not already see. Our children grow up so
quickly. Why wait to make improvements in your family?
Coaching with me is a short-term expense for a long-term investment!
